Senior Classes

“I’m not in this world to live up to your expectations,

and you’re not in this world to live up to mine.

Just be yourself.” (Professor Steve Miranda)

Martial Arts is for everybody! Adult classes are based on common-sense techniques from Martial Arts systems such as Karate, Judo, Ju-Jitsu, Boxing, Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu, and more. This attitude of freely absorbing ‘the best of everything in progression’ has evolved the National Karate Academies into one of the most comprehensive and practical systems in the world today.

Generally, we do not prepare students for competition, but avenues are available to them should they show a particular interest. Our main concern is to teach students how to enjoy martial arts, learn self defence skills, improve fitness, and gain a better attitude towards life. We teach students as individuals, in a disciplined and positive training environment. Our instructors believe in teaching students in an encouraging and mutually respective manner, rather than using constant criticism, punishment and bullying techniques. Senior students range in ages from teenagers to grandparents! We seem to appeal to family groups and have noticed a dramatic growth in membership with our unique and friendly teaching style. Just because we are caring and friendly, don’t assume that what we teach isn’t effective!
